News feeds
I haven't really thought to check my various feeds much but I can see how an interest in a particular topic could lend itself to their use. These exercises are useful getting to know the terminology and at least the basics. If referred to by a customer they're a good starting point of knowledge.

RSS
I can definitely see an application for RSS for the library's web site and indeed this will be something integrated in the new SPL web site. For me personally I'm just not much of a high tech person so at this point I see limited appeal for this.

Technology Blog
Here's my blog entry regarding technology. I like to use computer technology as a tool at work but not as an interest outside of work. That puts me behind the curve sometimes but I think generally I'm up to date with things.

I guess I'm supposed to identify from the learning tutorial what is easiest and hardest for me in terms of learning habits. Accepting responsibility for my own learning is easy for me. Viewing problems as challenges is more difficult; I usually view them as just another hassle.

Second Post
Actually, this is my third posting. My first one alluded to the fact that "Lonesome Dove" by Larry McMurtry is one of my favorite books. I don't know what to say about my learning styles. I suppose it's best for me to learn something by doing it. I can be told how to do something but I'm better able to remember it once I've actually done it.
